Headmaster’s eNewsletter – 20 February 2020

Dear Parents

“You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today.”
Abraham Lincoln

This year we have very intentionally embarked on two aspects which we hold dear at Clifton Notties: Environmental Sustainability and Social Responsibility. For both of these, we have an obligation and responsibility to have a plan and vision for the future. You would certainly have seen our social responsibility projects reflected in my weekly newsletters before, as well as on Facebook. Our close relationship with “Partners for Possibility” in designing curriculum material and resources for teachers with the 8 partner-schools is proving so rewarding on numerous levels. In the upcoming weeks, I will be communicating with you exciting ideas and initiatives as we embark on our own Sustainability Programme. I am very grateful to Mr Gavin Erasmus, a parent, who has been so willing to share his expertise with us on this topic, his enthusiasm on this subject is contagious.

Thank you to you all for so generously responding in purchasing Easter eggs which were donated to our partner schools – all in the spirit of National Random Acts of Kindness Day. Both children and teachers at these schools benefitted from your kindness and the impact on our own children (in giving) has been significant too.
