Dear Parents / Guardians

We hope you all enjoyed “Half Term” and that you took time to celebrate your child / children’s growth over this “Lockdown Period” in whatever form that was: be it a cake for tea, a walk on the farm, a special meal or simply watching a movie together as a family. – Each family is unique and it is good to have these celebrations in ways that work for you. – It is these “traditions” that your children will remember and cherish for many years to come.

Although we may know that Gratitude and Perseverance, as mentioned in our first two editions of “Bravehearts@home” are key to everyday life and even more so as “coping mechanisms” in times like these, we may still find ourselves becoming despondent… This is very normal we are told, but how do we “keep going” I asked myself a few days ago? – It then dawned on me, that I had begun focusing inwardly, a trap we all fall into from time to time. Instead, we need to be like Charlie Brown and reach out to others as per the insert on the right. – It reminded me too of the first newsletter of the year in which we had the picture on the left depicting “spontaneous kindness at Clifton amongst friends”…
