Clifton Preparatory School
Clifton Preparatory School, affectionately referred to as “Clifton Notties,” is a co-educational day and boarding primary school set in the beautiful KwaZulu-Natal Midlands.
We welcome day scholars from Grade 00, and boarders from Grade 1.
Our breath-taking rural setting, in the foothills of the Drakensberg, offers our children opportunities and adventures that cannot be replicated in urban schools. The freedom and safety on our 40 hectare estate and the surrounding farmlands has to be experienced to be understood.

In addition to world-class academic and sport facilities, homely boarding houses and a beautiful campus, Clifton children are blessed with forests, dams, streams and wide open spaces in which to “grow,” both on and off campus. The 40 hectare school grounds offer a wonderful and secure in-house environment that fosters every aspect of development.
Clifton boarding offers the opportunity to live in a community.
Clifton offers co-educational boarding from Grade 1, with options for weekly, termly and casual boarding. We can accommodate just over 100 boarders, with boys living in Usher House and our girls in Sutcliffe House. Our boarders share the campus with a number of full-time academic and boarding staff, who make sure they are well looked after.

Clifton Riding School, based on our beautiful estate, offers a wide range of options for children that wish to pursue horse riding at any level.
