Dear Clifton Parents and Guardians

For those of you more familiar with our campus, you may be aware of the magnificent Gingko Biloba specimen which stands near the swimming pool, adjacent to the Dream Tree. Google will tell you that extracts from the Gingko (also known as the Maidenhair tree) can evidently be used for improving cognitive function in healthy people, although I am not entirely sure this is the primary reason for it having been planted… or was it? Be that as it may, I am reliably informed that, some time ago, the Gingko tree at Clifton was adjudged to have been the best example of the tree after the specimen found at Kirstenbosch Gardens….
