The Frank Jackson Foundation Bursary
for girls born in 2017 entering Grade 4
– for entry in January 2027

Clifton Preparatory School, Nottingham Road, is proud of its decade-long relationship with The Frank Jackson Foundation; a champion partnership which has grown many significant young women, who have gone on to leave their positive mark on their high schools and on South Africa.

Please read the application criteria below carefully:

If your daughter was born in the year 2017 and comes from a financially disadvantaged background (gross salary of single parent or parents’ combined household income must be less than R20 000.00 per month) and is a top academic student, she may qualify to apply for the bursary. Learners must be fluent in English and must be South African citizens.

Any awarded bursary is valid from Grade 4 (Term 1) in 2027 until Grade 7 (Term 4) in 2030.
Due to the number of applications, the selection process must be very strictly adhered to.
Qualifying girls, with champion academic school reports, will be invited to write an academic assessment.

The Frank Jackson Foundation Bursary covers up to 100% boarding and tuition fees.

If your daughter is motivated and ambitious, and meets the above criteria, the following documents must be emailed to jackson.foundation@cliftonprep.org.za:

  • Unabridged Birth Certificate
  • Final Grade 2 Report
  • Copies of both parents’ IDs (if a single parent, please supply an affidavit stating that the second parent is not contributing financially).
  • Latest payslip of both parents (if either parent is unemployed, please supply an affidavit stating this)
  • Cellphone numbers of both parents/guardians
  • Email addresses of both parents/guardians

Parents/guardians of successful applicants will be notified and advised if their daughter has qualified to write the academic assessment.

Closing date for applications is no later than Monday, 9 March 2026, at 16h00.

This bursary is only open to girls who are not already enrolled at Clifton Nottingham Road.
