“Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.” – Charles R. Swindoll
How true the words by Charles Swindoll are. A YOUTUBE video (2 minutes…so, it is short and punchy) was shared with me recently. I thought it would be appropriate to share it with you too. Whether we are parents or teachers, it effectively and realistically paints the landscape of what 21st century education (and life) is all about …and what the “education” of our children in it will involve. Before there is a collective sigh of “oh no, not another “doom and gloom” video/article on the 21st Century” …it is worth a watch, with interesting and new facts for us all. We live in an exciting, “frightening” and ever-changing world where HOW WE REACT to change is going to be crucial.
This week has seen swimming taking “centre stage” as our boys and girls have participated in their respective Inter-Schools’ ‘A’ and ‘B’ group Galas. Obtaining 4th positions in both categories has been more than gratifying. Our children have reflected talent and true-grit. I am proud of them!
Our Grade 6s and 7s are feverishly preparing for their annual Major Production, “King Artie…and the knights of the rad table”. I am excited to see all their (and the staffs’) efforts come to fruition.
I wish you a good week ahead.
