Recently, I had the privilege of listening to a captivating speaker, Vivienne Schultz, at a Heads Conference held in Johannesburg. She highlighted that as humans, we possess the remarkable ability to Respond, Adapt, and Contribute. This simple yet profound insight prompted me to reflect on Clifton’s fundamental objective – to nurture children capable of making meaningful contributions to the world. In order to contribute, they need to respond to life and adapt when faced with challenges, both essential qualities for making a positive impact.
As I walk through the Clifton campus, I am heartened to witness our children eagerly engaging with the world around them. Their improved greetings to others, one of the first ways we respond to life, reflect a growing confidence in themselves and a belief that they have something valuable to offer….
