“Kindness in words creates confidence. Kindness in thinking creates profoundness. Kindness in giving creates love.”

Lao Tzu

With Valentine’s Day around the corner, the notion of love and kindness is appropriate. “Kindness is certainly something we promote intentionally amongst our children and staff at Clifton Notties.

I fully endorse Brene Brown’s thoughts in her book “Dare to lead” on kindness: “First and foremost, we need to be the adults we want our children to be. We should watch our own gossiping and anger. We should model the kindness we want to see.” Powerful words.

Significantly, as per the calendar, Wednesday 19th February is Random Acts of Kindness Day. With this in mind, our goal is to collect enough Easter eggs so that we can bless the children of three of the eight schools which we support under the umbrella of the social responsibility programme, Partners for Possibility. We appeal that each child brings back an Easter egg after the Mid-term break. These unexpected little treats (along with other goodies) will be distributed to both the children and staff of these three schools.
